The choice is yours.

Prov 22:11

11 He who loves purity of heart And has grace on his lips, The king will be his friend. NKJV

-         Your words determine what friendships you will have.

-         “He who…Will have…” Our lives are the fruit of our choices. If you don’t like what is growing change what you are planting. Look into the choices you make and plant what you want to reap.

-         Your life is not a product of your circumstance but of your choices.

Making others look stupid is a sign of stupidity.

Prov 11:12

12 Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent. ESV

-      Cutting remarks are a sign of folly; the wise know when not to speak. Prov 12:18; 15:2;  17:28; 18:21

-         Making others look stupid is a sign of stupidity.

-         God help me not to criticize others for any reason. I don’t want my humor to degrade or hurt others. I think it has been a common practice in America both for adults and kids to tear people apart with our words. We do it for fun, for laughs, to try to put others down or to make ourselves feel better for our own failures. What ever the reason Proverbs says it is a bad idea.

What do you desire?

Ps 27:4

4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. ESV

-         What is your number one desire? If you could make one request of the Lord what would it be?

-         Lord make me who you want me to be, take me to the place you have been waiting for me. I want to meet with you face to face I want to see you for who you are and I want it to change me more and more into your likeness. Moses glowed after meeting with you. I want to glow with your presence, your love, I want a changed life that will reflect you. I want every part of you to be seen through me. I want my life to make heaven smile. That is my request Lord. My request is that my life would make You smile. Have your way in every part of me

Correction is ok!

Ps 25:9

9 The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. NKJV

-         God will teach those who will listen. Am I humble enough to listen, to receive correction? God I want to be humble, I want to receive your instruction not defend myself and the reasons I made wrong choices.

-         Ps 141:5(correction is a blessing) Prov 1:5 (the wise hear and increase in learning) Prov 16:18 (pride comes before destruction) those who are think they are always right don’t receive correction, they choose to face the consequences of their mistakes before learning, and still they often refuse to change. (Prov 26:11)

You have influence…

Prov 10:17

17 Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. ESV

-         How you handle correction says a lot about you. Prov 1:5; 22:6

-         You are responsible for what you do with what you know and for the impact that your choices have on others. James 3:1 tells us leaders have a stricter judgment. Matt 18:6 seems to imply that we will each give an account for our leadership, and what we did with it. Prov 26:8 talks about the fool who waste the opportunities God gives showing us influence not wisely used is wasted, yet even worse many use their influence for harm. Matt 18:6 speaks of those who cause others to sin and speaks of judgment for it. Ezek 33:2-6 speaks of the responsibility of the watchmen, or those who know.

-         God help me to use my influence wisely. Help to lead people closer to you. I don’t ever want to miss-lead people. Help me point my life toward you. I don’t want my mistakes, actions or words to cause or give an excuse for someone else to sin.
