Ps 125:1

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. ESV

-      Ps 27:1; If your trusting in the Lord, what is going to shake you. Sure bad news might come but if you hear you lost everything you owned it comes whether your trust is in money, things or in God. If your trust is in God then it won’t shake you. Only the things you trust in can shake you.

Gen 13:2

2 Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. ESV

-        Gen 12:2; God said he would bless Abram. In Prov 10:22 it says the blessing of the Lord makes one rich. People tend to either reduce God’s blessing to finances alone or try to completely cut them out of God’s blessings. Both extremes are wrong and out of balance. Prov 17:1 tells us if all that you have is what money can buy you are missing out. It shows us that peace and healthy relationships are worth more then status and the things money can buy. In 1 Tim 6:17 we are reminded that God is our provider for everything we need, not money.

Prov 22:7

7 Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender. NLT

  • - Those who play now and pay later, play with dread because they still have to pay, those who pay first work with eager expectation and play with complete freedom.
